    최현수의 디지털아트 작품(Digital ART Works)은 직접 찍은 사진, 인터넷상의 형상 이미지들을 소재로 하여 컴퓨터그래픽 제작 응용 프로그램 중 주로 포토샵 프로그램과 같은 비트맵 이미지를 다루는 소프트웨어들을 사용하여 작가의 의도대로 새로운 디지털 이미지를 편집해 낸다.
    형상을 복제하거나 합성, 변형하기도 하며 기존 색을 보정하거나 다른 색으로 새로이 바꾸기도 하며, 필터 기능을 적용하여 다양한 효과를 만들어 내기도 하며 마우스나 디지타이저 등 같은 도구로 직접 그리는 작업을 해왔다.
    본인은 대학에서 서양화를 전공하였고 청년기에는 설치작업, 판화 작업도 많이 시도한 적이 있으며, 이후 1997년경부터 디지털 이미지 조형 작업을 시도하기 시작하여
    2000년경부터 컴퓨터그래픽 작업에 본격 매진하다가 최근에는 디지털 사진을 활용한 회화적 이미지 만들기 위주의 작업하고 있다.

    이번 작업의 표현 주제는 `내가 좋아하는 인물 이미지(Image)' 이다.
    좋아하는 인물을 재해석하여 모자이크 기법의 조형 이미지로 새로 만들어 내었다.
    인간은 각자의 내면적인 성격을 가지고 있다. 그 인물마다 특성이 다른 것이다.
    그리고 종교적으로는 인간은 동물과 달라서 육체와 영혼으로 이루어져 있다고 말한다.

    이번 작업들은 어떤 인물의 특성을 나타내기 위하여 그 인물과 관련된 작은 인물 형상이나 꽃, 대나무와 같은 식물이나 상징적 개체들을 소스로 하여 모자이크 이미지로 만드는 작업을 하였다.
    밖으로 보이는 큰 형상(육체) 속에 그 특성(영혼)을 나타내는 썸네일 이미지를 컴퓨터 기법으로 조합하여 모자이크 이미지를 만드는 것이다.

    Choi Hyun-soo's Digital ART Works edits new digital images according to the artist's intention by using software that mainly deals with bitmap images such as Photoshop programs among computer graphic production applications based on photographs taken by himself and shape images on the Internet.
    They replicate, synthesize, or transform shapes, correct existing colors or change them to other colors, apply filter functions to create various effects, and draw directly with tools such as mice and digitizers.
    I majored in Western painting in college and tried installation and printmaking a lot in my youth. Later, I started trying digital image molding work around 1997
    Since around 2000, they have been focusing on computer graphics, but recently, they have been focusing on creating pictorial images using digital photos.

    The expression theme of this work is 'Image of My Favorite Person'.
    My favorite characters were reinterpreted and newly created as a formative image of the mosaic technique.
    Each person has his or her own inner personality. Each character has different characteristics.
    And religiously, it is said that humans are different from animals and are made up of bodies and souls.

    In order to represent the characteristics of a person, these works were made into a mosaic image using small person figures, flowers, plants, or symbolic objects related to the person as a source.
    It is to create a mosaic image by combining a thumbnail image representing its characteristics (soul) in an external large shape (body) with a computer technique.
