    지극히 작은 내가 나만의 방법으로 대자연의 엄청난 아름다움을 오롯이 드러내고 내 능력의 그 이상을 시험하며 발휘해 내려는 나의 고뇌의 흔적, 그 과정이 담긴 작품이면 좋겠다. 나른한 오후 창살 너머 비치는 햇살이 찻잔 귀퉁이에 무심코 내려앉을 때, 또는 정오의 강렬한 빛줄기가 벽에 기대어 선 자전거를 무심히 쳐다볼 때, 혹은 일몰의 시간에 하루의 일과를 마친 밝은 하늘이 다음 일출을 보여주려 퇴근길에 들어설 때 바다는 기꺼히 하루중 제일 중요한 일이라는 듯 하늘의 거울이 되어주며 다양한 감정을 드러내는 하늘의 낯을 바다가 오롯이 담아주어낼 때 배의 창문들은 거대한 거울 위에 큐빅과 다이아가 된 듯 다시 담아 사방으로 발산할 때 나는 감격한다.

    I hope that the extremely small work contains traces of my anguish, which I try to reveal the tremendous beauty of Mother Nature in my own way, test and demonstrate more than my ability. When the sunlight over the window of a drowsy afternoon lands casually on the corner of a teacup, when an intense beam of light at noon looks at the bicycle leaning against the wall, or when the bright sky after finishing the day at sunset enters work to show the next sunrise, the sea becomes a mirror of the sky as if it were the most important thing of the day, and when the sea captures the face of the sky that reveals various emotions, I am thrilled when the ship's windows are put back on a huge mirror as if it were cubics and diamonds and radiated in all directions.
