    바다가 있는 고성에서 태어나 부산에서 공직생활 33년을 보냈고, 지금도 부산에서 살면서 바다를 본다. 부산은 지리적 위치도, 삶도 바다로 연결되는 항구도시다
    부산항 개항은 대한민국 근대화의 시발점이다. 지금도 무역을 위한 컨터이너 대형선박에서 동네 작은 포구의 소형 어선까지 하루 종일 제각기 바쁘다.
    항구의 풍경은 마치 인생 드라마의 한 장면을 보는 것 같다. 잔잔한 파도는 여유가, 방파제에 뒤엉킨 파도는 에너지를 느끼게 한다.
    그래서 늙어 막이 나이에도 그런 항구가 좋다. 사진이 무엇인지 어떤 생각도 없이 그냥 사진이 좋아 카메라를 들고 다녔던 시절도 꽤나 오래 되었다.
    “부산은 항구다” 사진작업을 통해 사진에 대한 깊은 생각도 해본다. 이제 가지각색 항구의 풍경은 나에게 의미 있는 일이 되었다.
    부산에서 계속 바다를 향한 부산 항구의 모습을 사진으로 담아 소통하면서 함께 나누는 인생을 살고자 한다.
    진솔하고 소박한 나의 사진으로 재미있는 이야기가 전해지기를 기대해 본다.

    The opening of the Busan Port is the starting point of modernization of Korea. Even now, people are busy all day long, from large-sized container ships for trade to small fishing boats at small ports in the neighborhood.
    The scenery of the harbor is like watching a scene from a life drama. The calm waves are relaxed, and the waves entangled in the breakwater make you feel energy.
    That's why I like such a port even when I'm old and young. It's been a while since I carried a camera because I just like pictures without thinking about what pictures are.
    "Busan is a port." Through photography, I also think deeply about photography. Now, the scenery of various ports has become meaningful to me.
    I want to live a shared life by communicating with photos of Busan Port toward the sea.
    I look forward to having an interesting story with my honest and simple picture.
